2003 Chapter Activities
for May Awareness

Here are several of the activities that our
local chapter have either already done or plan to do this month.
I would like to thank all the parents, children & SLPs
who showed up whenever I called them.

We have created an Awareness Kit on Communication.
This kit includes The Face of a Communication Poster, a bookmark,
the OAFCCD brochure, May 2003 Parent & Child Speech/Language Activities, and a magnet, pen and newsletter from Language Express.

The Awareness Kit has been handed out to several daycares / nursery school and schools.
Hopefully they will display the poster and use the activity calendar with children.

The presentation shows the faces of several children along with information about communication disorders
and the need for increased speech and language services.

Several of our children presented Smiths Falls Council each with a bookmarks to promote awareness and brochures.
The children also handed out pens & magnets to council supplied by Language Express.

Thanks to all the children, parents and Language Express for coming to this event.
