Contact a Speech-Language Pathologist. Publicly funded Speech-Language Pathologists which are free to families, are available through the Preschool Speech and Language System or through the school board.

Reseach has demonstrated that parents are usually right when they are concerned about the development of their child. Parents should trust their instincts and seek held when they have concerns. To assist parents in assessing whether their child has achieved age appropriate developmental milestones there are several screening tools which will help you assess how your child is doind. Please remember that every child is unique and this information provides only a guideline, and you should always contact a Speech-Language Pathologist for a complete assessment.
